Legend's Ghost is about stories, and what better story than a love story?
But of course, I don't want anyone to feel left out. As someone who has spent a grand total of one Valentine's Day in a relationship, and that evening was spent volunteering at a crisis center since my partner and I weren't actually on the same continent that day, I can relate to people who get sick of hearing all the gory details of the perfectly magical evenings their roommates/cousins/siblings/co-workers/hairdressers had and feeling sheepish as their night of watching the entire filmography of their favorite actor/actress suddenly seems rather loser-ish in comparison.
It occurred to me that pretty much everyone who isn't aromantic has at least one story of doing something stupid for love. Maybe six-year-old you liked that cute girl in your kindergarten class and was convinced that the only way to get her attention was to throw tape wads in her hair. Maybe you had what you thought was the most amazing prom proposal idea ever...only to realize it probably held the world record for cheesiness as your intended date gave you that look that says "I'm trying to look appreciative, but I feel so embarrassed right now that I'm wishing it wasn't just Harry Potter characters who can apparate." Maybe you weren't sure how to talk to the cute guy in college chemistry class so you had a bunch of weird anonymous notes sent to his dorm room.
Point is, most of us have done something stupid in the name of love.
