Dutch singer Petra Struijs, former lead vocalist of the band Galanor, will appear on the Gatekeepers album.  Petra has recently finished recording vocal parts for her role as the Mother.

I first noticed Petra's voice after she was chosen as the lead singer in Galanor.  I could tell right away she had a very strong, versatile voice, and the fact that she was classically trained didn't hurt things either!  I thought she would sound good in one of the roles on Gatekeepers, so I emailed one of her bandmates and asked for her contact information.  Some time later, I got a message on myspace from Petra, wondering if there were any songs left to sing.  The role I had originally considered her for had been filled already, but I knew her rich, earthy lower register would make her perfect for the role of the Mother.

Petra is currently working on material for a new project, Purple Q, with Legend's Ghost guest guitarist Sebas Honing.

As I am still waiting on some pretty important parts for each of the songs she is appearing on, I cannot post a full song featuring Petra at this point.  I hope to do so in the near future!
