I get to start yet another post with "I am pleased to announce..."
Or maybe completely thrilled and still not quite able to believe it's real would be a better way to put it.
If you read the title, you probably know why, but if you clicked on it, you probably wanted more details. So I'll humor you. Gladly.
Upon checking my Facebook account yesterday at evening, I came across a message delivering the long-awaited news that the final guitar part had been uploaded for me to download! I have waited years to be able to announce this, and for some reason, trying to find someone who was willing and able to record the guitars for those last three songs was quite a challenge. I was beginning to wonder if someone had put a curse on those three songs when I came back into contact with my former bandmate Jake Gillette, who recorded for The Suicidal Immortal years ago. Within about two weeks of asking Jake to record those songs for me, I had all of those songs in my inbox, with exquisite additional touches only Jake could have come up with. So, what's next? A couple of the vocals are being redone, I've been working with my sound engineer Ivan to mix the songs that are ready, and I'm waiting on my virtual choir! (If you want to be part of the virtual choir, instructions are on the main page of this website). There are only three more songs to mix once all the vocals are in, and then the album will be ready! That means you might get to hear it either in March or April!
