We opened for The Fallacy!

The end of May saw the opportunity for Legend's Ghost to open for the Chilean band The Fallacy, who were visiting Ecuador for the first time.
Although the turn-out wasn't what I'd hoped, we still had a blast, both on and off the stage. The Fallacy put on a very profession, very high-energy show, complete with background videos. The music, at least Angie's vocal style, reminded me a bit of a slightly more gothic Lacuna Coil, but with their own twist.

Singing in the Rain

For those of you who couldn't make it to the shows 2 weeks ago and are wondering how they went: 

It was a day that didn't exactly go as planned.  We arrived at El Arbolito Park after a few glitches.  Due to said glitches, we arrived a bit later than we intended...and the sound check was still in progress!!  Apparently, there had been a power outage earlier, which prevented the soundcheck and the opening bands from starting on time.  We started playing around 2 PM (we were scheduled for 11 AM)...

Pictures of Sergey and Cheryl-Renée's performance at Ra-Q restaurant in Quito are now up!
 Check out the photo page to have a look!

Despite some glitches, it was a good time. The restaurant was packed, and we enjoyed doing a set of favorites by Queen, The Beatles, and Herbie Hancock, among others.

Up next: Cheryl-Renée will join Sergey and his band, Camaleon, onstage with Ecuadorian hip hop artist Guanaco

Valentine's Day Shows

Cheryl-Renée spent Valentine's Day with the love of her life: her music! She did three shows, one at an English Fellowship Church dinner and two at Ra-Q, a Quito restaurant. The shows were mostly Broadway and classical numbers, featuring Cheryl's mother, Elaine Childs on piano. The last show at Ra-Q also featured a jazz set with bassist
Sergey Proshunin from the Quito-based band Camaleon. (It was actually one of Sergey's solo gigs that landed Cheryl-Renée the gigs at Cocina...
